Beat Mark is composed of 2 boys (Julien and Gaëtan, formerly from Adam Kesher) and 2 girls (Chloé, former drummer for Yussuf Jerusalem, and Karin). Not long after we started the band a debut cassette was released by the Southern Californian label Burger Records. Our first LP ‘Howls of Joy’, which was out on Final Taxi Records (Paris) in France, was released internationally by the London-based label Ample Play in February 2013 and got pretty good reviews here and there. Here are a few from the British press and radio:

As ingredients for an album, unimpeachable.” 8/10 Drowned In Sound "Think Fugazi crossed with Slint crossed with Stereolab crossed with awesome." The Guardian
Post War Glamour Girls, Caitlin Park, Nose, Fall to Fly Plus after band set from DJ Russ (kibbutz) - Friday May 24th 2013
It's taken about a year of trying to finally nail down a date for Post War Glamour Girls. Without doubt one of the most exciting bands to come out of Leeds for some time and we are very pleased to have them. The supports were all sorted too until we were given the chance to book Caitlin Park. Given that she's on tour from Australia such chances don't come along often so we've shoehorned her onto the bill, we hope you'll agree that it's a good move..
